GENCOR SMALL RUMINANT 2010 FEE SCHEDULE
Pre-Entry Health Requirements:
A Certificate of Health is to be completed by the accredited veterinarian and endorsed by CFIA to confirm the eligibility of the prospective donor animal for entry into Gencor’s isolation facility. A copy of the certificate is to be kept by the endorsing district veterinarian, a copy is to be sent to Gencor and a copy provided to the owner to accompany the animal to the centre. The certificate is valid for the period of 60 days following the first test performed on the premises of origin.
**Shearing and foot trimming must be done prior to entry into the facility. A $1,000.00 deposit and a certificate of health must accompany the animal, prior to entry.**
Fees are for isolation and collection of semen qualified for export:
Isolation Pre-collection $6.00/day/animal
Quarantine Indoor Collection $6.00/day/animal
CFIA 30-Day Isolation Testing $60.00/animal
Quarantine Post Collection (if required) $6.00/day/animal
Training Jumps $50.00 each
Collection Jumps $50.00/collection
Morphology Exam $25.00/collection
Processing Fee $125.00/collection
Straws Frozen and Accepted $2.00/straw
Monthly Semen Storage Fees:
1- 99 straws 7 cents per straw/month
100- 199 6.5 cents per straw/month
200- 999 6 cents per straw/month
1000-2499 5.5 cents per straw/month
2500-4999 5 cents per straw/month
5000-9999 4.5 cents per straw/month
Monthly minimum charge of $6.00+GST
Semen Insurance:
8 cents per $100.00 value per month
Insured at value stated by customer.
Semen Transfer Fees:
Per dose = $ 1.00
Minimum = $ 20.00
Maximum = $150.00
Charged per transaction to customer transferring the semen.
Semen Exports:
All documentation for the shipment must be supplied by the owner.
Export certificate prepared by CFIA
Tanks can be purchased through Gencor.
Shipment will be packed by Gencor staff.
The Semex Alliance can be contracted to forward the shipment out of the country.
Sample quotations:
These sample quotations are based on average performance of animals. They may require more collections, or have poor quality semen that is not freezable. The quality and quantity of each ejaculate may vary with each collection. Gencor does not guarantee the performance, or ability of a male to produce freezable semen.

Isolation pre-collection (minimum 45 days) $270.00
Quarantine indoor collection (30 days) $180.00
CFIA 30 day isolation testing $ 60.00
Training jumps (3) $150.00
Collection jumps x 4 $200.00
Morphology exam x 4 $100.00
Processing fee x 4 $500.00
Straws frozen and accepted $400.00
Quarantine post collection 30 days (if required) $180.00
Total: $2,040.00
Therefore, cost per straw for 200 straws of semen frozen: $10.20 each

Isolation pre-collection (min 45-days) $ 270.00
Quarantine indoor collection (60-days) $ 360.00
CFIA 30-day isolation testing $ 60.00
Training jumps (3) $ 150.00
Collection jumps (10) $ 500.00
Morphology exam (10) $ 250.00

Therefore, cost per straw for 500 straws of frozen semen: $8.04 each
